We should totally teach astrology in schools. After all, a lot of people believe in it, and believe there is evidence for it. Right?

We should also teach broom theory of lift in air flight, that too was good enough for Harry Potter.

And lastly you had no rebuttal to "hard scripture" except to make fun of it! And then, I'm supposed to think seriously of a bunch of words "that prove nothing" (a phrase I got from hanging around here btw) except that you can spell and put a sentence together. I might have some glass in my actions too...but it has silver painted on the back. So, if you're condenscending....? If you want a conversation, or argument lets go at it! I don't even have control over the laws that are "counter to nature" being instituted right now in our state, country and world! How would you like "no choice" for your kids to learn RELIGION? Here a novel idea for ya.....How bout we treat "Homosexuality" like we treat religion? I can live with that!

Well I would argue that religion (particularly Christianity) has had things pretty much its own way for at least the last 1,000 years so you can't really complain. Time for the gays to have their turn. Other than that its a valid point - please feel free to raise it again in 3013.
I thought I'd put my hat in the ring on the religion in school debate. Religion does not belong in the everyday class room. However, I think in High School there should be a Religions of the World class. This is what Christians believe... This is what Muslims believe... This is what Jedis believe... I think that would be an important cultural class. Also Homosexuality should be taught in health classes. You know for the health of the students. Go Sex Ed!!
Hahah rondee, i'm sorry but this is one of the most stupidest things you have ever said. Homosexuality is not taught and cannot be learned, you are born that way. School also don't encourage kids to participate in gay sex, what school did you go to?
Kids are informed about different sexualities at school and encouraged to be accepting and tolerant of homosexuals. They are not taught how to be homosexuals! Did you know homosexuality has been documented in hundreds of species of animal, is that not natural? It just comes down to you being ignorant and biggoted. If you can choose to be gay, why don't you have a go, see if you like it? Why don't we treat homosexuality like we treat religion? Because religion is an ideology based on no evidence and homosexuality is a type of sexuality. Stop asing stupid questions

Homosexuality came about the same way that heterosexuality came about, with men experimenting sexually with other men the way that men experimented sexually with women at the dawn of humanity. Humanity learns from experimenting. After all, one can easily imagine the first person who wanted to eat chicken eggs thinking I am going to taste what comes out of this chicken's butt. Homosexuality is only taught in school as much as heterosexuality is during sexual education classes to inform the students on safe sex. The students are no more informed to engage in homosexual acts than they are heterosexual acts. Also, diversity sensitivity is something we should all understand and accept, especially young children who are being taught by their religious families to hate anyone who is different.
