Yeah, I say fuck it, let people be naked if they want. Why the fuck not? It seems to me that societies which have the strictest rules on how much skin you can reveal also have the highest rates of sex crimes. A couple of years ago, I did a paper on freedom of speech. One of the things I learned about was the limits of freedom of speech in the US, speech is considered protected unless it is a clear and present danger to allow it.

Under this example, wearing a burqua isn't inherently a threat. It doesn't make someone into a threat or a danger or anything and, yes, they should be allowed to wear it. If someone chooses to wear a swastika, sure, they should be allowed, even though I'm going to think it's a really stupid idea.

My being offended by something doesn't make it illegal, nor should it. Being offended means just that: you're offended by something; nothing else.

Rubbish. The actions were carried out by the nazis, not the swastika. Horrific acts of barbarity have been carried out under the banner of the red cross, yet we condemn the perpetrators rather than the image - the memory of those actions has hardly been forgotten and neither has the memory of the banner under which those men marched.

Well it seems to have been conveniently forgotten by the church of England, the school I went to didn't tell me a thing about the red cross, the crusades etc. I found out about those by accident. You would think, if we had emphasized the meaning of the cross properly, I would have known about all the bad things that have been done under it.

The swastika stands for the killing of 6 million innocent jews and many other gypsies, homosexuals and political opponents. Why does that mean someone shouldn't be able to wear a swastika now? What threat does it prove to anyone for someone to wear a swastika?

I also went to a church of england school and I did learn about the crusades, templars etc... The information was also fairly prevalent elsewhere. The crusades are brought up damn near every time a christian talks about morality, so I'd say it has hardly been forgotten. Yet symbol remains, largely without the connotations of its blood drenched past.

Look, wearing a Nazi style swastika, indicates that you like the Nazi's. No one likes the Nazi's except neo Nazi's so if you go out wearing it, you are probably going to get beaten up or killed.

Also have you considered masks? I think they should definitely be taken into consideration when debating whether we should be allowed to wear what we want. Masks hide identity. Criminals could commit their crimes and get away with it because no one saw their face. Could you imagine how much gang violence would increase if wearing masks was allowed? Also the burka. Hasn't female muslims been used as suicide bombers?, their identity protected and so their organisation protected due to the fact that you couldn't see their faces.

Urgh, I love how zionists resort to the pathetic "omg you must be racist" card whenever someone opposes their political/religious extremist ideology. Shouting racist doesn't win you an argument, especially when the zionist agenda is essentially a racist one. There are people here in the UK that think the UK should be reserved for one ethno-linguistic group (the poorly defined white anglo-saxon group). They think that those who don't conform to this categorisation shouldn't be allowed in the country. We call them racists/white supremacists/bigots etc. I'm curious as to how your econcile your marxist tendencies with ethno-nationalism (one tinged with a religious salad dressing). I too come from a marxist/socialist background however using a genocide as justification for mutated forms of racial and religious discrimination doesn't bare too well with consistent marxist theory. There's plenty of Jews living in my country and nobody has holocausted them yet. Most of western Europe and the USA is a safe haven for jewish peoples, who integrate well and contribute to society in all ways possible. Using the holocaust to justify a racially pure homeland is disingenuous and usually masks a deeper, more sinister motive. I oppose zionism because I oppose racism. I believe in multiracialism. I don't want an ethnically or religiously pure homeland in the UK, I wouldn't support one in Spain, France or Zimbabwe. Why would I support one in Israel?

The best way to combat a shit idea is with a better idea, racism against Jews exists in many countries, particularly central and eastern europe still, as does hatred for black and asian peoples.
