Well the amputee thing is not talking about the bible every time ive heard this argument its aimed at modern day and the con artist... err I mean faith healers...
It's not specifically aimed at the bible. It's certainly aimed at the modern-day con-artist.

I agree. However, I do think that sometimes one side (or the other) is holding some rather shaky ground.

I didn't write the article. However, I would never think anything is more far-fetched than the Noah's Ark story. Scientifically speaking, the whole story is a mess. Incest would have had to have been rampant for those creatures to repopulate the Earth (we all know how that would've turned out), the Ark would have had to have been HUGE, etc., etc.
