You abortion supporters are driving up the prices on live babies for the bbq. Assholes!
Feh. Definitely pro here. And a merry fuck you to those who would use their emotions cloaked as morals to force the hand of others.

Indeed, many who claim to be pro-life are anything but. They are best characterized as anti-choice. Ask those who claim to be pro-life about the death penalty or social welfare and assistance programs.
Now you are conflating issues, women have a choice whether or not to take the risk with unprotected sex. That's the choice, that's the empowerment of women. It causes males to compete for attention and drives up production in society hence the cure for poverty.
What about women who engage in protected sex but their method of birth control fails?
You are accusing TheBeardedDude of conflating issues and then you are simplifying the argument by saying women only become pregnant when they engaged in unprotected sex which is completely untrue.
Furthermore, I'm not understanding your position on abortion. It seems like what you're saying is that people who engage in unprotected sex are idiots who can't control their libidos, but they shouldn't abort the pregnancy because the possibility exists that they might be good parents! So what? There are people who willing get pregnant and have children but are demonstrably bad parents. What should happen to them?
And, again, I ask what about the people who can control their libidos? Who do practice safe sex? But who, through no fault of their own since they were using protection, get pregnant anyway? What then? Should those women be allowed to get abortions because at least they had enough brains and self-control to make their partner use a condom?

My individual position on the issue is this: It's wholly irrelevant how I feel about the practice of abortion. I cannot get pregnant. I'll leave the choice up to those individuals who can.

It's up to each and every woman to decide for herself. If I got pregnant today, I would most likely not abort, but I would also take Scruffy's opinion into consideration.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

If you do some research, 50% of pregnancies are unplanned.
Shit happens. If you're man, and you don't have to take any responsibilities, you don't have to think about complications, you don't have to think about c-section or natural birth, what to eat during pregnancy, what to do with that job you really need, how to afford a baby, what happens to your entire life if you're not able to get an abortion. Your entire life, that's what a pregnancy is in real life.
It's not something you draw up on a piece of paper and go, oh, just give the baby up for adoption. Just use protection. Just don't have sex so often.
Things look perfect on paper but it's never easy in real life. I don't mind men discussing abortion issues, but at a certain point you need to step back and think that you're talking about something you never have to endure, an extremely difficult choice that you'll only have to make on paper while others have to live through, so bringing up things like responsibilities is just a little too hypocritical. As for men wanting the child but the woman doesn't. Here's the thing, the sexes were not created equal biologically, the burden women bear is to invest way more than men, biologically speaking, into reproduction. If you have that type of relationship with a woman I'm sure you can work it out privately, that's not something that needs legislating, any legislation that can force a woman not to have an abortion is infringing on her rights.

I think it's up to everyone to learn the possible consequences of their actions before performing them. In this day and age of instant information, who would't know that wearing a condom while having sex is the safest way to enjoy sex while avoiding unwanted consequences like STD's or pregnancy? It's as if consequence-free sex is something which should be shunned and totally avoided when I don't see the problem with it.
Yes, I know that condoms aren't 100% effective, so that's why emergency contraception drugs are available, and failing that, abortion.

One of the funniest comments I ever read on Youtube was under a video of the Marvin Gaye song "Let's Get It On" which went something like this:
"If it weren't for this song, a cheap bottle of wine from an Italian restaurant which was later closed down due to health violations, and a broken condom, I wouldn't be here today."

Pro-choice.
