Jesus had more sources than any ten figures combined within 150 years of their death, so would it be fair to say someone else existed but Jesus didn't?

Why Should Someone Be an Atheist?

I really don't know what's so hard to grasp here.
Look at the movie, The Titanic. James Cameron wrote a complete fictional story and weaved it in seamlessly to documented real history. There really was a Titanic, an iceberg, a shipwreck, and 1500 lives lost. 1000 years from now, are we going to have some buffoon trying to tell people that Jack and Rose were real passengers and there was a great struggle over a big blue diamond??? Because that's the logic you're trying to sell here. Just because the Bible has some legitimate historical locations and people doesn't mean that there was some demigod walking around doing magic and coming back from the dead. I mean seriously, how do you not get this?!? No, he didn't. There are no contemporary accounts of his life by anyone who actually saw him. And if you can produce some, you're doing better than the Catholic Church. If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.
It's true Jesus had more sources written about him than any ten figures combined from antiquity within 150 years of their death.
Pick any ten figures, and I will go over the 45 sources for Jesus. None of those sources were contemporary with his life, I assure you. How can they be taken as confirmation of his existence, if he was long gone before they were born?

Lots and lots of people have written about jesus. That doesn't mean anything. I once wrote a term paper on The City of Atlantis. Guess what, lots of people have. ... so what? It proves nothing. What sources for anyone are contemporary in antiquity? The earliest sources we have are hundreds if not thousands of years later for others? Yet we accept those figures existed.

Then we don't know anyone who lived before Jesus by your same standard. What historian takes that position?
