Unforgivable Sin
#11
RE: Unforgivable Sin
Meh, it's all make-believe but if you really want to know - the one and only really unforgivable sin was committed by god.

It was the unjust damnation, imprisonment and eternal torture of billions of
innocent people for the actions of a woman who did not yet have the ability
to understand the ramifications of eating a fucking piece of fruit.

You want to talk about unforgivable ... THAT is unfuckingforgivable.

Moses: god has hardened your heart, that you may know that he is powerful.
Pharaoh: if he really wants to impress me, tell him to harden my cock!
*The room explodes into raucous laughter*
Yahweh: oh, is that how it's going to be? SEVEN MORE PLAGUES, ASSHOLE!!!
Egyptian Scribe: *wipes away tears* "harden my cock" LOL, gonna have to chisel that one on a wall...

I bet God laughed. Big Grin

It's just saying you don't believe Yahweh exists, or that he's good if he did, or basically to say anything negative about him. I think it really says something about a belief that the worst possible thing it believes you can do is question it.

Of course people who are not in a vulnerable position, like childhood, depression, or near death, are the hardest to convert. The only options are to let them keep talking, or to shut them up by force. That's why it's considered the worst of the worst. This is also why pride is the worst deadly sin. Feeling good about yourself and your accomplishments makes it hard to convince you that you have a void in your life that can only be filled by letting someone else tell you how to live your life.

Who taught you that stuff, you should have studied when you were in church. I didn't study at church. I listed to the teacher and pastor. That's why it took so long to shed christianity.

You don't think blasphemy is an unforgivable sin, or that pride is the worst vice?

Yes, keep repeating that mantra with your eyes and ears closed and don't think about anything.

God murders people in the Bible. Murders the shit out of them. And he sends tons of people to hell every day. He's petty, vain, and cruel. The Biblical god is a monster.

I'm glad you told us that Yahweh/Jesus is good. I need to be reminded every once in a while, since the bible doesn't portray them as very good, just, loving, or merciful.

Jesus himself said so.
Mark 3:28-29 Wrote:28 Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, 29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.”

So hang on a second because this is important. If I blaspheme against the holy spirit I cannot be saved?

So there would be, like, no point, in a Christian trying to save me thereafter - I can just tell him I told the holy spirit to fuck off - I'm toast - leave me the fuck alone.

Great!

O Holy Spirit - Fuck Off.

Now Christians can never bother me again, right?

Well, wasn't that productive?

When the greatest sin in someone's eyes is "insulting" someone rather than rape, murder, torture, etc of others, I stop having enough respect to give a shit what that person's definition of sin is.

That goes for a made up god, and it goes for humanity. Just ask the fucker I pissed off who told me to stop calling Rush Limbaugh a bigot. I asked him why it was okay for Rush to say the things he did but not for me to call him out on it. He never answered, but I'll give you a hint: because a lot of Christians don't give a shit about your actions - just your lip service.
