I have been a Christian for 17 years and always thought that this verse was stupid, but I kept it to myself, well until now lol.

Nice Username...
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Why would someone ask this on an atheist forum? No we do not. We do not believe in sin, or god, or hell...
If sin were real the only true unforgivable sin would be showing a girl your penis and refusing to put it in her mouth

One can believe in just about anything when one already believes in something without the proper evidence to support its existence. Believing that it is is real does not make it real.

That statement works both ways. I've never claimed to have evidence that you would believe, what I have claimed is there is evidence to believe in God if you want it. I've not been given the ability to give the evidence, the evidence comes through God by the Holy Spirit, if you want it you will need to travel a narrow road and carry a receptive heart.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

In other words: suspend all reason and believe as would a lunatic worthy of a snug cell in an asylum.

Luke 12:10
But unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
Acts 13:39
And by him all that believe are justified from all things.

You see... I don't know either...
Mother Mercy, take my hand; guide me through this forsaken land. Father Time, return what's mine; the innocence you stole from these eyes. 'Cause I just feel numb...

Nice of you to point out the correct understanding of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Rejecting the testimony of the Holy Spirit means one will reject Christ thus being an unbeliever and unforgiven of all sin.

Sorry, dude, that's word salad and a copout.

I was a very devout believer, as many otthers were, and we searched and searched, prayed and prayed, but nothing.

Please don't play the "you didn't try hard enough" or "you weren't a real Christian" cards because those, too, are copouts.
