THat is a very vague thing. I've seen psychotic breaks of paranoia, grandiosity, hallucinations, rage, agression, delusions, convulsions, black outs, personality split, depression, and others.
Only thing that matters is it's potentially debilitating. ... Can't afford that, mouths to clothe, house and feed and whatnot.

Of the active members there are a lot, or then people are more outspoken here, so it seems that way. Can't say how the statistics of our forums correlate with the real world. But, I still say that this is the good kind of crazy *twitch, twitch*
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I've been in and out of mental institutions since I was sixteen, and I've been on medication my whole life. I had to stop using drugs as a coping mechanism, learn to regulate my sleep-cycle, exercise, ensure I always took my medication and find non-destructive ways to express my pain to get it under control. It's a daily struggle, and some days are much better than others, but I haven't had any severe, I-feel-like-cutting-myself depression like I used to in five years or so.
Lately, though, all the upkeep I have to do just to maintain sanity is wearing me down. I fear I'm losing a little bit of the "fight" in me.

I don't know which bothers me more about statements like this, the arrogance or the ignorance.
Thank you so much for sharing bro. I'm very sorry. Has similarities to my story. Wouldn't wish that shit on anyone. Easy does it! No worries. Relax. relax. relax.
But I should follow my own advice

It's not true. It's bullshit.
It's also one person applying their own situation to everyone else and assuming that everyone else's mind works exactly the same way as theirs does. The brain is complex. We're all hardwired differently, and for one person to assume that others should simply have control over something because they do personally, is the sheer height of arrogant ignorance.
Depression is a mood disorder. Sure, some people can get depressed and make themselves feel better, but they're not the same fucking thing.
Damn! That was a good post! Preach it bro!

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables - no red meat (or no meat at all if you are able).
Limit salt, sugar, caffeine, toxins (NO alcohol) - NO GMO or processed foods.
Drink LOTS of purified water or herbal tea.
Practice a form of meditation that best suits you.
No video games - limit internet and TV.
Breathe deeply and fully always.
Get outside - go for a long walk in nature.
Sing, dance, laugh (even though you may have to force it at first).
Have peace - practice kindness to all you encounter (animals, plants, Earth).
Affirm your peace by not spending any money unnecessarily.
Volunteer your time.
Find someone you can pass this along to once it has helped you.
ALL is for your wellbeing.

So who else has put together an exit bag? Just staring at the works saved my sorry ass more than once.
