It's the Atheist Atom symbol or "Atomic Whirl" to be specific. It doesn't have the bottom loop in the Atom so it looks like an "A"
If the hypothetical idea of an afterlife means more to you than the objectively true reality we all share, then you deserve no respect.
I call for an icon change, I don't like the current one .
The current one has not caused me any prolonged agonizing pain.

Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word

I like the Atheist Atom. I am getting a version of it tattooed on my shoulder.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I like it, especially on the title graphic. But I wouldn't miss it if it were replaced as an new posts/no new posts icon on each forum on the board.
