I don't understand how theists can think they're humble while, at the same time, think the whole universe was created for them. There's some real cognitive dissonance going on there IMO.
And then they even have the cheek to accuse atheists of being egotistical.

In need of a more humbleness. Why condemning the Theistic position makes no sense.

Faith is an act and a source of pride. It's hard to act humble when the person you're talking to is being openly smug by default.

Yes yes yes Celestine, I know, 70 pages in and you haven't seen anything destructive yet. The only time you see anything destructive is when atheists -criticize- religion. Well aware.
Page 1 1-7. The whole things starts on a note about wrath being brought down. Sets the tone, gives you an idea of what to expect going forward, eh?
Page 2 2-7 to 2-10 Non Muslims have been cursed by god, blinded, hardened hearts, even those who say they believe do not really believe, they are diseased, and allah will "increase their disease"
Page 3 Qoting the verse becomes tedious, the entire chapter is a long drawn out example of character assassination and open threats -continuing on with intermittant insult rants about the unfaithful and how they will be burned, and how they're horrible people - on and on ad naus. It becomes useless after this chapter to even point out specific instances of threats being made - and the notion that those against whom the threats are made just deserve it - because it;s already been established that they're barely human - just lies made flesh, devils. It becomes useless to point this out - because it;s the chorus of the entire godammned book. Everytime the author runs out of useless drivel he falls back on that, it's almost as if he was stuffing the text to make a wordcount minimum for his publisher. If we removed just the direct threats and bare insults...the Quran would be reduced to the size of a Denny's menu and even that greatly edited selection would still have ignorance on display for us from one sentence to the next. Garbage, garbage, garbage.
Yeah - I can totally see how you missed that, in the first 3 pages, let alone the first 70. Couldn't imagine why anyone might consider the contents to be destructive or harmful.......I mean, it's not like we're the kind of person arguing for tolerance or respect. Besides, who would believe that silly shit anyway, huh? Who would saunter up to the unfaithful, and claim that they were all liars, malcontents, blind, diseased, those of the hardened heart...... those with grudges against god and religion intent only on dividing his good and holy flock and preventiong man from seeing the plain and clear wisdom contained therein? What kind of douche might run with that rather than address the criticism head on?

Just because an idea is different from your own does not mean those who support that idea are delusional. Reflect rather on your own delusions than that of others, so that you might become better as a person.
It's not just that the idea is different, it's that the idea is wholly unsupported by tangible evidence.
Religious beliefs tend to be the kind of position that if held be a single person land that person in the looney bin. Held by a hundred people the same position is considered a crazy cult. Held by thousands and it's a religion and many argue it should be respected. But you see, it's still the same untenable view, no matter how many people believe it.

Rather it is:
Their propensity for gullibility.
Their education.
Their works.
Their humility.
Their sincerity.
Their comprehensibility of intellectual gymnastics.
Depending on the variety of believer you ask, one of the above is bound to take precedent.

My days of debating religion are long over, now I only seek what I can learn from it while soothing the flames of hatred and correcting voids of ignorance between both parties as best as I can.

You can surrender to religion if you like, the rest of us will carry on without you. As for hating, my experience is that atheists hate ideologies that are used to hurt people or deny obvious truths. But rarely does that carry over to hating whole groups of people. Islam is a good example. Many of the atheists I talk with loathe Islam without apology, but hating individual Muslims? Not so much. Many of us are well aware that being raised in a religion makes it very difficult to see past it. Everyone who has left a religion is aware of how hard that can be.
Religious people, on the other hand, are pretty good at hating just about everyone but members of their own sect. That is kind of easy to do when your ideology includes the idea that god will has prepared a hell for everyone but the "elect".
Oh, buy the way, "voids of ignorance"? Clearly humility is way beyond you.

God's wrath only matters if a god exists, warnings and threats are not bi-products of destruction though they might be precursors, the only physical destruction/violence is what is permissible in the Quran and most of that from what I have read is self defense, save for one part where it says it is okay to slap your wife for being disobedient.
If we were going by fictional/nonphysical destruction then why are you not condemning Lovecraft?
