Since courses applied for and future aspirations do not count, for the moment I am a college drop out.

Was at college for two years, but have taken the year off. Not sure if I'm going back yet.

Christ, with as many college credits as I've taken, you might think I would have a degree in something, but no. What I have is a wide-ranging and professionally useless background in philosophy, literature, business, and electronics. My professional life has been equally wide-ranging and unfocused, so I've had my hand in a number of very different enterprises over the years. I like to think I give good value as a cocktail party guest.

These days, when it comes to ongoing education, I cut out the expensive middleman and make liberal use of my library card.

Degree from life, a qualification everyone that lives has.

I for one think that in many (but not all) fields, experience can trump education (exceptions would natural sciences, medicine, vetinary sciences and so on).
