Myths and fables are taught side by side with discoveries made in the sciences. No worries. ;-)

Well, accept in Muslim nations. Real fuckin glad I don't live in one of those.

I suspect that in muslim nations if you teach science instead of the koran they throw rocks at you until you die.

And women can't drive. And women need the permission of a male relative to do certian things like travel. And you get killed for not adopting the religion of your father. And you have to wear a mask. And probably a whole host of other freaky shit I've never heard about. I swear, waking up in one of them would be like waking up in the twilight zone.

Hey, since Drich thinks that all origins stories are exactly equal, and that we should teach both sides in science classrooms, he'd probably endorse teaching this one, right? Thinking

I wasn't going to mention it but your attempt to communicate in rock language isn't working. Try to imagine we are both sentient beings and communicate accordingly. Could work but it won't turn stupid ideas into sound ones.

You can't hear rocks talking? Gotta have faith, man. They say some snappy stuff from time to time.

Yeah! They say that sometimes. You can hear them then Smile

If you believe in anything hard enough, it comes true. It's like returning to your childhood where make believe and reality seemed interchangeable. And you didn't know long words like interchangeable or butt-probe.

Just keep believing... Squeeze your eyes really tight... Sit in a darkened room humming... Eventually whatever you take in with you, will start talking to you.

Try it out!

If it doesn't work, it's cos you didn't believe hard enough. You suck and I'll come punish you, give me your address.

You know, I would have no problem with any theist who humbly believed as an act of faith and left it at that. But the minute they try to justify that belief either to themselves or others, they lose it. I mean, if the moment is right, and you want to share your hunch with someone you think would be helped by it. Sure, go ahead. But don't misrepresent it by over selling.

Funny but it seems faith and humility, though extolled as virtues by Christianity, are the rarest of qualities to find among Christians. To be fair, they aren't very common in the rest of the population either. But if you want to march under that flag shouldn't you at least try to embrace what it stands for?

I totally agree. The honest answer is to just admit there is no good reason other than faith. I'd be fine with that.

It annoys me when theists try and start some kind of logical reason why you should believe too, you easily defeat it, then they go back to faith. If you have to believe stuff for no reason, that's fine, just don't expect anyone else to take it seriously. That goes for anything.
