Hitler he perfected indoctrination and religion just came along and scooped it up and started using in and shaming
Hitler. So yes modern indoctrination is pretty much how Hitler gotten his followers to do his dirty work.

No. Religion, and religious mental programming, obviously long predate Naziism.

Hitler took it molded it and made it better though. Still why bother brainwashing people in a modern age to keep spreading lies.
i mean look outside of it they are just really crazy people believing what some old dirty book and person telling them is truth worse than any horror movie out there.

@OP:

If god doesn't exist, then this doctrine, which you find disgusting, was created by men, and was popular enough to spread around the world and be followed at least nominally by 1 in 3 people.

Point is that your own argument indicates that people are pretty sick and twisted.

Reading the news headlines indicates the same.

I agree in theory with Strider, but, probably due to my upbringing, the negativity seems entirely appropriate and honest to me. That feature of Christianity fit me like a glove. Smile

Welcome to reality.

Add to this that the ideology in many cases has been spread by fire and sword and you get the picture. And once established, it also has been fire and sword holding it firmly in place up to at least the 18th century.

For once you got something right. Just drop the "If" part.

You're a worthless piece of shit for not being perfect like someone else is, so you need to beg forgiveness for being unable to meet a standard that is literally impossible to meet. Now what makes this other person perfect, who judges you so harshly for not being perfect, isn't really explained. You just have to take people's word for it that he's perfect because he says he is. Or maybe they just tell you that there's nothing you can do about it, so you might as well worship him anyway. Like the authoritarian father, ordering around his little children who get spanked when he's angry, whether they really deserve it or not.

You have to be broken down before you can be built up into something more acceptable. Whether or not you really want to become something else isn't really up to you. either do it, or find yourself roasting in a fire for all eternity.

I agree with the statement as fact, but probably not with your point if I'm interpreting it correctly.

Are you suggesting that the biblical admonishments regarding worthlessness and guilt are valid because some people are sick and twisted?

Often it seems that Christians are very self righteous in spite of all this effort to make them humble.
