This has nothing to do with anything being discussed, but I'd like to point out that I would totally wear that helmet.

A common young earth creationist statement.

You must of heard that from some of our now atheist former Christians.

Heh, check the stats. I haven't been around that long. Believe it or not, the majority of my education did not happen online.

Christianity made me always feel worse. I always hated feeling like i never measured up,and also never had "the spiritual power level" as others. The constant struggle between my morality and the contradictory morality of god made it harder to follow the mainstream christianity.

I am a preachers kid, and i always felt like i could not have fun lest it would hurt my dads career. I always had to act the church scene. I had to be perfect while others got away with "not being perfect". I can go on, but i seen so much of religious i cannot stand the sight of it.

Why oh why would you read the bible that way?

I can accept a world about 50,000 years old, not really any older though and possibly younger. For evolutionist that's still a young earth.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

And what evidence brought you to the 'about 50,000 years old' conclusion?

I'm also interested. I never heard of 50,000 before.
