GC Carbon dating isn't reliable beyond 40,000 to 50,000 years, but there are others that do not have such limitations, such as those listed by dyresand. We don't know a lot of things for fact, but we do know that the earth is around four billion years old. Any claim to the contrary is simply wrong. There's no other way to slice it.
