Well that's terrible. I have no respect for people who think this way. If you're a Christian and your response is "that's terrible and I have no idea why it happens", fine. If you think your god is punishing little children like this because if the sins of their fathers...you are sick and horrible person :x

You know, it's kind of like the Loch Ness monster. You hear about it, but you don't think it's real. Same here. It's the first time I actually see one of those "christians" in action. I heard about that line of - I hesitate to use that term - thinking, but I never thought it could be that despicable.

Well, the god of the old testament, who by extension is *Jesus* no less, was a right awful bastard. One of the most vile villains in all of fiction.
Into genocide, slavery (including sex slavery) and child murder. Hardly surprising he keeps to his bronze age, war lord behaviors. Leopard and spots - not changeable.
Some modern folk seem to eat it all up, horrific nature and all. They're the ones I worry about. Hopefully more than a short hop from clock tower, 30-06 and a sixer of Molson territory. Hopefully.

I have to say I'm startled to hear that you are so startled by the existence of my ideas. Isn't people burning in hell forever, or even consigned to hell forever, the truly sickening thing? What you interpret as cruelty here doesn't even hold a candle to the doctrine of eternal torture. Perplexing.
