And rikky has the solid evidence for his assertions that he demands from everyone else.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Your inability to adequately communicate an experience(or series of experiences) which you found to be transformative is hardly a reason to conlcude "god" Riketto.
As to the "magic" of emergent properties mentioned by an earlier troll.....it's easy to understand why a person who sees magic in emergence would see magic -everywhere else-. Emergence is simply what happens when two component parts - for example, come together and in that combination express a property not possessed by either of the components themselves. Whether they are artifact, or simply happenstance, is irrellevent to whether or not they are emergent.
Two boulders pushed by ice, when interlocked at a narrow point in a stream - have the "emergent properties" of being a dam (as might a single log, as does a large pile of debris -of any kind-). I don't see a whole hell of alot of hocus pocus involved.....nor am I required to chisel the faces of the stone and lower them into place /w a crane......but I'm not the kind of guy that sees magic everywhere he looks, nor do I think that human beings are involved in every single interaction that goes down on this rock...so, maybe someone on the other end of the spectrum could fill me in?
(play a little of conways game of life..to understand how simple a concept emergence is, and maybe find your shame........)

You do know there are plenty of people that get out of their miserable teens as happy adults without the belief in gods, right?

I follow this force advice step by step and i got to someone who was ready to help.
That 'force' you were feeling was your own subconscious.

Of course what you were looking for was inside you, it was your subconscious.
You improved your own life, not a god.
Own it. Take credit for your own work.

That good feeling is you. No god necessary.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

When I'm down in the canyon, it doesn't matter to me whether a god exists or not. Being inside that nature, I am overawed, and feel humble and small, in an entirely healthy way that makes humility before any god seem tawdry and utilitarian.

Well said indeed, I feel the same way when looking at nature in all her overwhelming glory sometimes.

This must be one of the most interesting post i ever seen.
I never said that God is an external entity as some religions say.
God is internal so i am God.
By getting to your super conscious mind you get to God so the good feeling is God
and God is you but don't worry Simon sooner or later your confusion will give way to
the great reality of life.

I'm telling you, Riketto, you're an atheist, you just don't admit it yet.
