My story! I am an Ex-Muslim, became and Atheist. I was visited by an Angel of God.

Regarding your conjecture that dreams and visions during sleep constitute a valid means of finding truth, you have to show evidence that you are able to reproduce the effect before it can be accepted. Your suggestion by itself carries no more weight than my claim that the observations you make are caused by microscopic, invisible insects that crawl into your ear while you sleep and play cards in your brain causing your mind to see visions. I am showing exactly as much evidence for this claim as you are for yours....none.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

Thanks for your kind reply.  I actually have an application called Ultrasurf, its programmed to change the IP address. SO, every time i log in. MY IP appears to be elsewhere like in Europe for example.

It's really kind of odd, whippings like the 17th century juxtaposed beside upscale malls in Riyadh, with segregated upper floors where rich ladies can take off their niqabs for valet shopping. A science fiction theocracy where people beam up to cities in the sky but there's a chopping block for the headsman on a plaza paved with emeralds. Do they still have that "Committee for Promoting Virtue & Preventing Vice"?  Angel

There was a thing on women's headgear in the Telegraph with six styles from burqa (looks like beetle trundling along), to hibabs and scarfs that cover all or most of the hair, to uncovered head. Only Lebanon seemed to accept the latter, Saudis went mostly with the slitlike niqab. (At least they can see.) I dunno, that would blow my mind, but if I had grown up there it might seem more normal.

Pew survey in Telegraph:  http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnew...ealed.html

I'm curious about the Burj, that hotel in Dubai that's supposed to be half a mile tall. And these palm-shaped landfills that stick out into the Gulf, with docks for the yachts behind the houses.  Wink

(You know more about safety in the Gulf sheikhdoms than I do, but do note politics can change swiftly. In the USA within my lifetime some people worried about going to jail on accusations of being Communists, and 20-year information about them could be dug up even without computer assistance. The staff on this site will probably delete your material if you ask them to, though it can stay on Google cache for a few months afterward.)

Well you have at least convinced yourself. No one else will be impressed with your intuitive interpretation of your 5 second hallucination. But at least you believe. That's great, if what you really always wanted as an atheist was to be reconciled with god. That doesn't describe anyone else I have known here though.

We already went through this, you can view my previous comments.

I took the liberty to keep my possibilities open.  "I felt that the spirit was pulling my legs". This was my crucial evidence.

Of course, at first i thought it was just a hallucination. But, my mind was in doubts as i thought how could this be If I felt someone touching me leg.

I'm not sure I follow your logic. The mind can create a number of false sensations including touch. So to say one could be dream or hallucination but not the other doesn't make sense.

There is nothing special about the half a mile tall tower, first you have to pay to visit the Burj, then upon entering they will guide you to the observation deck, in order to view the whole city of Dubai from above.

Safety, all i have to do is follow the rules, till now i was fined 100$, was arrested once, but managed to get away with it. Its tough living in the Middle East.

Of course, that's what my initial goal i guess. I mean, i was going through bad times, my life was a mess. Believing for a moment that there is somebody out there, was more of a relieve for me. It is like the concept of 'body, mind & soul' all connected. The nature of the experience was unearthly, or my mind could be playing tricks on me, I don't know? you tell me! The only crucial claims i have is that the spirit pulled my legs.

There are different levels of hallucinations. It depends on how your brain can perceive these experiences (events). Most visions or dreams are seen as reality because when you wake up from sleep, the event you just witnessed it stores in your memory, it can also work the other way around. Therefore, it creates a real life experience but in reality it only could possibly be originated from the mind.

OK. Let's see the papers on that fish. We need to be sure it wasn't brought into the country illegally. Tongue

I felt life had no meaning, and believing in God is irrational; I started having suicidal thoughts, everyNight, everyDay, I cry out in my slumber before i go to bed, One lonely night, I was a sleep, a spirit of the Lord visited my room, the Angel pinched my leg, then I immediately woke up from sleep, I abruptly opened my eyes and behold "I saw a 'Ghost, an Angel of the Lord". My first reaction was a total silence I couldn't scream or yell, I was 'calm as a cucumber'. 5 seconds, only 5 seconds all it took me to witness a beautiful Angel, whom was sent down from heaven by God.

We understand that you believe you saw an angel. But for us to believe it actually happened, it requires evidence.

How did you know the thing was an angel anyway? No one has any record of what they look like.

This is a verse of a poem i wrote describes the Angel.

The Angel I saw, his face shining brighter than sun;
   His beautiful wings sparkle like jewels,
His garment was whiter as snow;
   His arms and legs glow like polished chrome

Con men have started religions with a lot less than that.  But the last thing we need is another BS religion so please don't start one.
