How's Everyone Feeling Right Meow?
RE: How's Everyone Feeling Right Meow?
Well fuck, you guys have had some hardcore surgeries done.

That sounds sufficiently awful.

My worst experience was on another of my seven knee surgeries I was trying to watch. I got the epidural (which was a fucking horrible experience because the anesthesiologist was not experienced enough to deal with my scoliosis), and when the surgeon made the incision in my knee, I felt it. It was terrible. Luckily, I said, "That fucking hurt" and on went a mask and I woke up three hours later in PACU.

Orthopaedic Surgeons are not gentle at all with that scalpel. I still have the DVD of my surgery, and he was rough with my leg. ACL reconstructions are violent.

Feeling alright. Average, really.

I've been fairly lucky in not needing any surgeries. A couple of dentist visits though and a needle in the gums is the best feeling ever. Yeah that's about it for me.

But seven knee surgeries? Fuck that's a lot. How's your knees these days?

I'm feeling a bit nauseous after reading about Seedy and MCB's needle experiences. I fainted at my nephew's eye surgery when they stuck a big huge needle in his eyeball.

Feeling bummed. My blood pressure came back too high. I have to take some pills now. I'm surprised, I don't know why it's high. My fatigue and regular inability to get done what I want/need to does stress me out a lot though.

When I was getting a shoulder MRI and they needed to inject the contrasting agent, they used a needle that was like 20" long, and a sort of live Xray and I watched them stick that needle in my shoulder socket and work it near the labrum, that was cool as shit, even though it hurt like a bitch.

Holy crap. I can't even watch when I have a blood test.

I'm an absolute pussy when it comes to being squeamish, and my pain threshold is really low.

I can tell you when it's going to rain.[emoji41]

It's as good as can be expected, I have strong quads to take pressure off the joints, but I know I'll be having some serious arthritis in my future.

Only three of the surgeries were reconstructions, thankfully. The other four were bone grafts, hardware removal, and debridement.

Omg how did you end up needing so much knee surgery?

Yknow, just so I can be sure to avoid making the same mistake Tongue

Feeling the worst disappointment I have ever experienced. Oh yeah, and I was just left out of my son's birthday party next Saturday. The one I organized. Wanna hurt me, so aims at my kid.
