Here's a news that's been resurfacing in past few months:

272 slaves sold by the Jesuits in 1838 to help keep what is now Georgetown University

At the time, the Catholic Church did not view slaveholding as immoral, said the Rev. Thomas R. Murphy, a historian at Seattle University who has written a book about the Jesuits and slavery.

The enslaved African-Americans had belonged to the nation’s most prominent Jesuit priests. And they were sold, along with scores of others, to help secure the future of the premier Catholic institution of higher learning at the time, known today as Georgetown University.

The college relied on Jesuit plantations in Maryland to help finance its operations, university officials say. (Slaves were often donated by prosperous parishioners.) And the 1838 sale — worth about $3.3 million in today’s dollars — was organized by two of Georgetown’s early presidents, both Jesuit priests.

In November, the university agreed to remove the names of the Rev. Thomas F. Mulledy and the Rev. William McSherry, the college presidents involved in the sale, from two campus buildings.

The next year, Pope Gregory XVI explicitly barred Catholics from engaging in “this traffic in Blacks … no matter what pretext or excuse.” But the pope’s order, which did not explicitly address slave ownership or private sales like the one organized by the Jesuits

The Jesuits had sold off individual slaves before. As early as the 1780s.

Angry DC priest insists Tim Kaine be denied communion for supporting women’s rights

The anti-abortion site LifeNews reported that Father Thomas Petri took to Twitter to condemn Kaine. “Senator @timkaine. Do us both a favor. Don’t show up in my communion line.” The priest also told Kaine that his beliefs that women should be priest and that “abortion is fine” makes him either “poorly catechized or a dissenter.”

Exhibit A for why the fucking church should lose its tax exempt status. They are nothing but political!

Airman says he woke up to Mountain Home priest attempting to Give Him Blowjob

Sometime after he passed out from intoxication, the court documents state, the victim woke up and saw Jagerstatter kneeling beside his bed moving toward him attempting oral sex. "The victim screamed and Victor Franz Jagerstatter asked him if he wanted breakfast," the affidavit states.
The charge had also been amended to rape, according to online court records.

The priest is on administrative leave, according to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise.

Two popes have spoken to each-other again. Probably two highly positioned morons exchanged their theologically "educated" thoughts and stupidity ensued:

Pope Francis has lamented that children are being taught at school that gender can be a choice, adding that his predecessor, Benedict XVI has labeled current times "the epoch of sin against God the Creator."

"Speaking with Pope Benedict, who is well, and has a clear mind, he was telling me: 'Holiness, this is the epoch of sin against God the Creator.' He's intelligent! God created man and woman, God created the world this way, this way, this way, and we are doing the opposite," Francis told the Polish bishops Wednesday shortly after his arrival in Krakow at the start of a five-day pilgrimage.

Francis' ended by telling the Polish bishops he wanted them to reflect on this: "We must think about what Pope Benedict said -- 'It's the epoch of sin against God the Creator.'"

Francis weighed in with his view on gender and what he said was that of the emeritus pontiff while meeting privately last week with bishops from Poland during his pilgrimage there.

And also now that Benedict is desperately wishing to die other people that respect him pretend that he's on the deathbed - which is the highest point in any catholic person life, second only to dying itself. Now that Benedict is on pretend deathbed he's so close to the doors between dimensions of life and death that he hears whispers from God and angles making him expert in everything in this world - from curriculum to you name it.

You know it would be funny if there weren't millions of people brainwashed to take this seriously at face value.
