I wasn't using it as an argument to try to make a convincing case for God's existence to someone else. Just explaining why I personally, have faith.
It's like if I saw a troll in my home, when I'm otherwise perfectly mentally healthy and not on drugs. That would count as evidence, to me, that trolls exist lol. Would I be able to prove it to anyone? No, because I can't "prove" that I saw it. But my point was that just because I can't prove to anyone else that trolls exist, doesn't mean I don't have evidence for myself that they do.
If you saw a troll in your house and you had strong evidence for yourself, why would you still need faith? Wouldn't the strong evidence be enough to inform your belief?
On my first post on here I said that faith isn't this blind thing where you believe just because, or you believe it just because you want to. At least not to me. Having faith is based on having gathered evidence that least you to believe a certain thing.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
