What I really bristled at was the part,
" otherwise we will consider you racist. "
You don't come to visit someone's house....much less be taken in by them when your own house is on fire...
...and start demanding that they change their decor,
when they're already giving you shelter, food, dignity, and a place to sleep,
...but you sure as fuck don't say,
" change your decor or I will consider you to be a racist. "
THAT is when people would be fully within their rights to open their eyes wide, blink,
and say,
" I see. Well, there's the door. "
