Thanks, I had a lot of fun making it. It hasn't been used in quite some time, but when their younger cousins come over its definitely a big hit! I try to do as many little memory making things as I can for the whole family. I also take the time with each one (hard with 5) to do something one on one. Maybe it's just playing a game, reading a book, teaching them a magic trick or just talking about our day, but I know things like that go a long way in building who they will become.
Oh, it absolutely will!!!
One of my fondest childhood memories was Mom reading a bedtime story to my sisters and myself,
and Dad would be a one-man show, acting it out.
Dad as the "Big Bad Wolf" huffing and puffing to blow our bedroom door down, was HILARIOUS.
(he was good at slapstick and self-deprecating humour)
Even Mom would be wetting herself, laughing.
And yet, it was just a bedtime story, with a little effort thrown in.
LOL I do the same things
Anything to get those belly laughs and smiles is worth it.
We are not made happy by what we acquire but by what we appreciate.
