Rome made the mistake of "misidentifying" Jesus. They "thought" they crucified Jesus but they didn't. Notice this; MNMP : thinking that "God converted a man into Jesus's image i.e making a magical doppelganger" is an idea originated from the Hadith; the Quran said it loud and clear that Rome had mistaken Jesus for somebody else. 

Then again, it's not like "God" is fighting the war; he's only testing humans, if God wanted war Rome would've ended in a matter of days.
It was a prophet sent to people, with a book that would save them from hell.
When thinking about Quranic verses and concepts MNMP, the original story of Adam, Eve, Satan, and this test, must be taken into account.

It wasn't that "he couldn't". He simply allowed it to happen.

Allah didn't prevent the Sunna and Shia from forming two distinct sects and confuse people about the truth of Islam. He sure didn't stop me, from saying my opinion too.

His word didn't change : people agreed (with a majority) to forge the Talmud, so the Bible came. 
People then again, agreed with a majority to forget the Bible, so the Quran came.

The Bible and the Tulmud though, contain leftovers from the truth, leftovers enough to fix the crisis Israel started for instance ?

God told them to follow some sentences from it; which the Quran affirmed.  Not the whole thing. Hence :

( Sura 3 85 )   And whoever desires other than Islam as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.

I do agree on the magical part you mentioned; it's nothing but selling lies; though if God wanted to he might accept one's prayer, or simply give one a miracle, but that is not a rule of thumb. After all, we suffer, that is life. That is the test. Miracles happen Brian.

You must bring an evidence; Brian. I honestly believe that even planets and gravity follow God's word; his laws are at present in nature.

I would give your comment the benifit of the doubt if that rifle was created in a  Muslim country.
To be honest; ALL weapons in the world come from non-believers; I mean the only thing "Muslims" are good at making is "falafel" and "shawerma".
