(no) Because in order to be saved from our sins, we must love Christ/God with all that we are, and when we love someone that much we do not do things we know that will hurt them if at all we can help it. That we follow the law not as a matter of seeking salvation but as a thank you/show of respect to God. And if we are truly 'saved' we will earnestly want to try and live this way. Not as a mandate, but because we truly will want to.
(I my self can atest to this.)
James 2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
What are you attesting to? Loving your neighbor as yourself as a thank you/show of respect to God?
(Mt 22:39, Mk 12:31, Lk 10:27)
wanting to live by the Law, even though I am not bound to it for salvation.
