(i.e. climate / environmental change).
In any case, this isn't an issue for governments to get involved in. It is an issue for the people if individuals (or groups of individuals) want to do something about it. I don't recycle, mostly because I don't have the time, but also because the council who come around to collect it usually find some excuse not to take it, meaning I have a build-up of trash that I eventually have to tip into the main trashcans anyway. I'm not against recycling in any way, if that is what people want to do to get rid of their trash; just don't force people to do it.
