I'm just not understanding the particularly part without you ascribing a certain amount of femininity or masculinity to various aspects.

I'll have to agree with Thena on this. While negative traits are unattractive regardless of who has them, there are some that are particularly repulsive on men and some that are particularly repulsive on woman. Being petty is particularly repulsive on men. Being cold hearted is particularly repulsive on woman. Just my opinion. I don't have a problem with acknowledging differences between masculinity and femininity... It is those differences that makes each sex unique and special.

Most of those differences are socially constructed. And cold-heartedness and pettiness should be considered repulsive on men and women.
