RE: Gods? No way

The idea that the claim itself is meaningless is more of an ignostic thing anyway, which I happen to agree with.
But I think this topic is assuming that it's clear to all gods are fictional, and as such any claim made about them is not a "real claim" but just someone arsing around. It appears many people actually do believe these things are real though, so there is no such consensus. In fact the majority of the world seems to think they exist. Although I don't believe that every professed theist really does believe what they say, I do believe that most really do.
They're all believing in something slightly different, of course. The overlap is probably just that it made the universe. The rest is optional word salad.
