They have technology that is years beyond what the public thinks is even possible at this time. Problem is that it's kept hidden for them, and not for us.

There is literally no advantage of having such advance technology even if it were god like without sharing it.
More or less eventually someone else is going to figure out how it works and how to build one.
Are you kidding me? Patenting technology is huge. They did this with a lot of tech, which was shelved, or reserved to classified military tech. Until it reaches the consumer sector it creates a huge advantage, and even after it does.
