I'm sure an explanation (read mind warping delusional backpeddling) will be along to point out how you've all interpreted this scripture wrong. "When it says 'not approach' it doesn't mean that god rejects them", "bread is a metaphor", "flat nose is not the correct translation from Hebrew it actually means 'son of devil'", blah blah etc blah.
Either that or you'll be directed to some other scripture that contradicts but takes precedence.
That was referring to the descendants of Aaron, where the priests were chosen from. The priests had much more stringent rules than everyone else, and had to be the embodiment of perfection / holiness, blemishes were symbolic of sin / imperfection.
Good job OP in once again in displaying you utter lack of biblical understanding.
