And do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles. Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you. From one who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic. From one who takes away your goods, do not demand them back.To turn the other cheek in context means not retaliate when one strikes you or causes you harm. You do understand meeting you on your terms does not in any way including harming any of you. it simply means putting the same effort back into a post that you yourselves produce. Understand none of you has ever cause me a moments grief let alone harm, so their is nothing to turn from.
As a Christian, you're not supposed to meet us on our terms. You're supposed to meet us as a Christian. If you're not able to do that, you're actually doing more against Christianity than you are for it. It often strikes me how little attention Christians pay to the advice of Jesus in the Gospels. American Christians wouldn't be hemorrhaging their next generation if they focused more on being what Jesus told them to be and less on being a political party. Just my two cents.
What I am doing is meeting you on your cultural terms. You people represent a culture of arguments and verbal dominance via proof, citation and quick wit. Meaning I meeting you on your terms simply means playing your game your way.. Or how did Paul put it? When in rome... Do as the douche bags do??? Or something to that effect.
Here's a final thought... Maybe your understanding of Christianity is wrong if it were and you do know God then why/how Can you turn from Him. If you know nothing of God then there has to be a critical failure in your system of belief, one God could not support. Ever consider that? for instance if you ever think your in a position to manipulate God, or his followers with what little understand you have demonstrated that you should be asking questions rather than presume to teach what it is you have twisted.
If I wished ill on Christianity I would be glad that your position is so popular. Jesus told you how to win souls, and I'm not aware of any better way to do it. We live in an age when telling a Christian the plain words of Jesus is twisting them. I'd say it's twisting them to come out serving your own ego above anything else and claiming it's what Jesus wants you to do.
But no one can be expected to even try to treat everyone with sincere, loving kindness all the time; even if it's what their deity explicitly said he wants of them. That's just stupid, eh?
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
