I just had a thought. What if Norse mythology is true, and the Judaeo/Christian God is really Loki? That would explain a lot.
'Twas Loki who appeared before Jan Matthys and told him to sally forth with a mere twelve soldiers againts the armies of Franz von Waldeck; 'twas Loki again whose divine appearances inspired the Children's Crusade; and 'tis Loki today that is causing so many evangelicals to feel "led by the spirit" to vote for the Donald.
