Tell me, GC, do you believe the following:
Quote:Mathew 27:51-54: And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom;
The Jewish priest weren't going to that's for sure, they knew it would spread and help the claims of the disciples.
Quote: and the earth shook, and the rocks were split;the tombs also were opened,
Earth quakes were common in that area and just because we haven't found writings about the event form other sources doesn't mean it's not true.
Quote: and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city ahat's for surend appeared to many.
You going to discard this because it's supernatural, that's okay but it is recorded in the Bible. Did you notice that Christ rose before they did as prophecy said, Christ would be the first to rise.
Quote: When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe, and said, "Truly this was the Son of God!"
Wouldn't you have said the same thing, being a witness to such supernatural events. [/quote]
Jehanne Wrote:So, there was an earthquake which had just followed an eclipse (v45); why did no one else record these events, GC?
Who said that there was an eclipse and as I said the quakes were common in that area and could have been recorded but lost to history, and surely you do not think that all earth quakes have been recorded.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
