But let me ask you this, why isn't your country doing much about it? We're a tiny Island nation and have taken 15,000 so far. The US has only taken roughly 4,000.
Being a person that is only the second of my generation into this country, I'm all for taking in those who need help. But it's a really sad day when one's own country won't even help its homeless population or its military vets. Does anyone really think we're going to extend our hand out to refugees in the same capacity as other countries have?
On another note: Let me ask this - has Japan or China or South Korea taken in any of these refugees? Australia? New Zealand? If the answer is no or they have taken in roughly the same numbers as the US, why isn't anyone saying anything about those countries?
Japan has only taken a couple, they believe in helping their own and addressing their problems first. Not sure about the others on your list though.
