I think depression has a lot to do with one's own choices. If you disagree, that's great, but if you're going to tell me I don't get it because I don't have it then I'll tell you you're just a drama queen who is seeking sympathy by pretending to suffer from depression.
Yes, you are allowed to speak. And others are allowed to criticize. Nobody is censoring your opinion here. We are disagreeing with it and showing you why it's so wrong.
Make any choices you want with your life, but please take our word for it when we tell you that your method is like nails on a chalkboard to us. Why is it so important to you that we accept it your way anyway? Why do you feel the need to insult us when we don't do exactly that?
I said it before. Do it your way and don't get angry when we dislike hearing the same advice aimed at us.
Just don't claim I don't suffer from depression, or that you know all about it. It may seem to you like I don't get it, but I actually do.
I used to be a wonderful guy, always nice to everyone. Why? Because I wasn't depressed as fuck all the time. I wasn't happy either, but compared to what I am now, it was heaven.
It doesn't affect everyone the same. If what I said doesn't help anyone, that's truly too bad. I don't think it helps me either, but it makes me feel slightly better to pretend that it does.
