Having a positive attitude is certainly helpful, for almost anything. I try really hard to keep positive, and it does make a difference. This is worlds apart from "snapping out of it" and other such silly phrases, which may as well say, "I don't understand your condition at all".
It's totally fine, thanks for sharing I'm glad you did. I think it's really healthy, especially where depression is concerned. I think it also helps others, to realize they're not the only ones going through these experiences.

You can't talk yourself out of depression and you can't just decide to be ok.
