Perhaps not entirely. So what? Does that mean we should stop trying to minimize it?

The struggle against racism continues. One step at a time. Same with gender inequality - progress is being made against it, if slowly. Rates of sexual violence against women in the Western World have been steadily going down for decades. And hey - USA, one of the countries leading in equality and democracy may finally have a woman president - the first one in the country's history. Right after the first African-American president, despite women having quite a head-start in terms of political rights. Progress takes time. That doesn't mean that nothing can, or should be done to help it along.

Yes, I gathered as much. However, you should have asked yourself - is anyone interested in your view on this particular - fairly "touchy" - subject, on which you can't realistically have much knowledge? Is your insight worth potentially upsetting people, who may be more affected by gender inequality, or sexual violence than you are?
Everyone has opinions on all sorts of grizzly sh*t - most of us keep them private and avoid casually discussing certain subjects, unless we're sure we have something of value to add. Facts are generally more appreciated, than unsubstantiated, unsolicited opinions, so maybe gather and present some of those, before you tell us what you recon about this whole feminism thing.

Fair enough. Consider yourself "enlightened"...
