I know muslims and was in love with a muslim woman for 3 years. We are still friends and her family are a bunch of wonderful people. So , I do not lump all muslims into one pile.
However , I do lump all three books of the Abrahamic faiths into one pile. The koran is at least as bloody violent as the torah and deserves to be blamed for the tyranny of the Saudis and the violence of ISIS.
Giving "penalty" for a "crime" is not something new; everybody does it and actually, the west in precise has some severe punishments that include burying people alive in concrete boxes called "prisons".
Blood is better than "prison".
I can agree with you if you told me what's better: spending 30,000 years in jail (like the comical sentences given by western courts) or cutting the hand (the bloody sentence given by Islam).
