BTW, historically, the RCC has offed some folks that perhaps, if they had made their particular offenses this century, might not have been offed.
So, I'm assuming the current admin might take issue with some of their predecessors actions in this regard.
So, a question arises, has the church absolved those predecessors of their crimes and offenses, and if so, isn't that a conflict of interest ??

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
