I've watched "Going Clear," read all of the Wikipedia articles on Xenu and Scientology, seen Leah Remini's 20/20, watched testimony of Scientologists on YouTube and most recently watched a documentary by Louis Theroux. Interestingly, I find Theroux's tactics a little annoying, but he made me laugh a lot and really worked to get under the skin of Scientologists, even those who left the church. There's a funny scene where a Scientologist is filming him on a public road, a harpy with him keeps claiming it is private, Louis walks up to him and says "Are you making a documentary too? What's your documentary about?" It's obvious he knows they are just trying to scare him, but he's so deadpan and soft spoken that I laughed out loud.
I'm almost positive I've written articles about Scientology, but really I've written so many thousands now that I'm not sure if it was work research or personal research.
I've been wanting to watch Going Clear. I keep looking for it on youtube and it seems no one has stolen it yet lol. It's not on netflix either, unfortunately. I've seen Leah's 20/20.
I also saw this:
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
