Well holy fuck, you're right. I never even thought about snow storms. After all they might shut down a mag-lev train line.

Guess we better scrap all the plans for airports, traditional train lines and the interstate fucking highway system. After all, those can be closed by blizzards as well.

The population density isn't great enough in America to justify  such a system. Plus it would cost a fortune to gain the right-of-ways.  And if you have to make stops for one or two passengers you will bleed money and lose too much time, defeating the purpose of having such a system.
