You're right, it doesn't sound like the bible is promoting fear of homosexuals, sounds more like execution.
This verse mind you is from the same bible which clearly portrays a homosexual relationship between Jonathan and David.
I would hate to be a homosexual. Simply for the reason that they are persecuted for being themselves and that monotheistic religions target them constantly. So many people just don't get that gays can be born gay and that there are many factors that go into homosexuality. I wish they weren't so discriminated against.
