No one was ever 'stoned to death' by an atheist means "atheism never causes biblically based stoning but the bible certainly can cause it."
So what you think is that the statement "No one has ever been 'stoned to death' by an atheist." means that people have most likely been stoned to death by atheists but not for biblical reasons. But also that it could be for biblical reasons.
From what I've read up on scare quotes aren't used that way.
No...that's not what I said.
I said that people have only ever been 'stoned to death' for biblical reasons.
And yes scare quotes absolutely are used to mean not to take the statement literally.
You are being intentionally obtuse now. It's extremely clear what I meant and obvious that it doesn't mean that no atheist has ever thrown rocks at people until they die. The scare quotes were used for a reason. You're not this dense, you strawmanning fuckwit, it was extremely clear what I meant and you know it was and you blatently don't care about the truth and you only care about the appearance of it.
You're not that dense but I was gullible to deign to explaining something so obvious when you clearly understood it in the first place and pretended not to. Talk about disingenous. Why am I talking to you when if I say 2+2=4 you're happy to pretend it's 6 and then insist I asked what 3+3 was when I correct you?

You don't get stoned for not saying "Jehovah."
And when an atheist stones someone to death for saying "Jehovah" They only get away with it by pretending to believe in it. And they wouldn't get away with it by pretending to believe in it if no one believed in it.
The whole point in either case if someone gets stoned to death for saying "Jehovah" it's religion that's the cause of that.
Of course this wouldn't need explaining if someone wasn't pretending to be dense.
