Neither do I. The key word is citizen. Until a non-citizen actually gets here and gives birth, though, this is all irrelevant. Making it more difficult for people to get here in the first place in no way affects children who are citizens.

Yes, it does - that would be the "born or naturalized in the United States." Or the "citizens of the United States" part. As persons, once here, due process and equal protection apply to non-citizens. We can't deport them without due process - but we can deport them as long as due process is followed. Before they get here - no, they really don't have rights under our constitution.

I'm considering it. I don't know why you focus on Mexicans, as I generally focus on immigrants from the middle east. We regularly see terrorist attacks in Europe. Leaders there say that terrorism is now just a way of life that they have to accept. I don't want to live like that. Call me a racist over it if you like - trucks and nailbombs can break my bones, but words will never hurt me, to update the childhood taunt for modern times. While those get the headlines, the quiet takeover is more important, and I'd prefer to prevent that here as well. Sharia law doesn't recognize our constitution. Yes, I'd buy a gun to defend against that.
