You know, I think you just accidentally exposed a serious problem with the media these days. They will use another person's tragedy to get ratings.
I don't know about "ratings." How many times can someone watch the same footage of the same event? It's mainly to fill up air time. I shut the news off and turned on a game between the Oakland A's and Miami Marlins - two teams that I don't give a shit about - because I can only listen to these talking heads for so long.... and the relentless big pharma ads for invented diseases does not help. At least the ball game blocks out the commercials.
