It's more that he never took the opportunity to correct anything about the OT while he had the spotlight.
In fact, he never actually did anything of any note at all. He showed up, preached a lot of shit that everyone knew about anyway, then pissed off - all while not being even a footnote in history. Everything else is fanfic.
Pretty unremarkable how lots of his life is just a blank slate too. Or how the gospel writers can't seem to agree on some pretty key freaking details.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?
