Watergate II: A Road To Impeachment
#15
RE: Watergate II: A Road To Impeachment
I wish. I really really do. But I think this is simply a pipe dream. The United States is probably one of the most corrupt nations in the world. I don't say this because Trump is in office, but it really is. It is ran by the corporations, not by the people in which it was intended. If we could get money out of politics I guarantee you we would get more done. America is honestly a joke. Someone in fact the other day was saying how we are really no different than some Middle Eastern Countries in how we govern and decide our laws. You know, like on the issues of Abortion, LGBT rights, climate change and so on. The Christian right has too much of a hold on our policy making here in the United States. This is also another huge issue. The sad part is there are still plenty of morons who think that America is somehow a Christian nation and should use the Bible to dictate policy. [Thankfully this a shirking amount, but they still number in the millions].

Trump is simply destroying America's image all over the world. Now I am only 23, so I really only remember the Obama years and the Bush years, and from what I recall the U.S. had a fairly positive image around the world. I have even read news stories about how Trump is hurting American tourism.

What's funny is Trump is honestly the poster boy for American ignorance. He is exactly what is wrong with America. The entire attitude that we are the best, and that we can do whatever we want. While it may be true we are the greatest nation on earth, there is a possibility that we could easily lose that status. Sure, we won't really feel those effects here at home. However, overseas many countries will move on without us. You really think these other countries give a damn that we left the Paris Climate agreement? I really don't think they care. It is simple. The U.S. can choose to regress while other nations chose progress. New world powers will emerge as America slowly fades into isolation. Take a look at North Korea. That is what Trump is doing to America right now. Sure, we won't become some kind of communist state, but Trump and his followers want us to be more isolated from the world.

Also, with regards to Mike Pence. While I do not agree with many of his policies I think he is a better option than Trump right now. [We really have no other choice until 2020] Pence is at least mentally stable and doesn't attack people on twitter.
