We need to ensure that refusing vaccinations doesn't become the norm or popular. Herd immunity as a few others have mentioned is very important.
Yet, the crazies who still believe falsehoods like vaccinations cause autism are so eager to spread their lies (social media is one of their biggest tools) in the hopes that others will buy into them - including to the point where they'll lobby for laws that allow bogus exemptions.
The anti-vaccination crowd employs faulty logic and unsound reasoning when they refuse to allow their kids vaccinations. Reading a wellness blog is not research but you'd be surprised how many of these people think clicking around google constitutes "research".
I'll stick with the science and if laws need to be passed to fight against uninformed woo, so be it.
