I just believe in trying to find middle grounds when possible and in being slow to judge/vilinize groups of people. That's my usual approach to most conflict in general.
Maybe a strictly nonjudgmental approach might not be the best way to take a subject like this. Like, if one of your friends says she does not intend to vaccinate her kids, try to ask her about her reasons for it, whether they're because of honest medical reasons or if they've fallen victim to fearmongers. I might try and educate them about it, and possibly completely lose my shit if they say something like "if it's a choice between autism and polio, I'm picking polio," for reasons that I suspect you should remember. But I think that for you, it might work better to say "Hmm. I've heard about it, I've looked it up, and I'm not really sure that's a good idea." That might be a better middle ground to take.
