If by shower you mean the  cement shack  without internal plumbing . Where icy water from the river was pumped through a fire hoses . Then sprayed over us . Then yes we had a shower . The only one in town as white horse had no plumbing system when i was a kid .

Ye lot had a pump for water. Primitive and outmoded concept on a crutch, boy, you were living in the lap of luxury.

To get water up out of the river as a lad, I had to suck it up in my mouth, run five miles, spit the water out, come back and start all over again. But I was happy in those days. Too poor to know better.

I'm not trying a my life was hard story . I was just describing the shower .

But yes it sucked .

Especially the shrinkage
